Our history
A legacy of excellence
TACTICS has been the cornerstone of student representation in the Department of Computer Science since its establishment. Founded with the vision of creating a unified community of tech enthusiasts, it has evolved into a dynamic organization that bridges academic excellence with practical innovation.
Over the years, TACTICS has organized numerous events, workshops, and initiatives that shaped the academic and professional journey of countless students: industry talks, technical workshops, and community service projects that keep pushing the technological advancement of our community.
Today, TACTICS stands as a testament to the collaborative spirit and innovative mindset that defines the DCS community, continuously adapting to meet the evolving needs of students in the digital age.
Mission & Vision
Tech with purpose. Community at heart.
As pillars of TACTICS, our mission is clear: to empower, to represent, and to serve. We encourage student participation, act on students' needs, build strong partnerships, and stay proactive in shaping a tech-driven future for DCS students.
Rooted in service. Driven by innovation.
We envision DCS to be more united, more engaged, and more forward-thinking. Guided by our values as Men and Women for Others, we strive to achieve our collective goals with pride and humility, not just for ourselves, but for the community we serve.

Our volunteer group
BITS
BITS (Body of Internal Tactical Support) is the dedicated volunteer group of TACTICS: passionate students from every level who power our activities and initiatives. They are central to community engagement, event coordination, and promoting technology education across the DCS student body.
Through BITS, students gain real leadership experience, sharpen technical skills, and contribute to projects that benefit their peers and the broader community.
